Single Server Installation

With a single-server installation, all Capture Server components are installed on one stand-alone server.

For a single-server Capture Server installation, you need to perform the following procedures:

1. Review the system requirements
2. Install the prerequisites
3. Install Capture Server on the primary server
4. Create a new farm

After you have completed these initial procedures, you can proceed to finish configuring the other Capture Server features. For more information about configuring other Capture Server features, refer to the other Capture Server guides.

Multi-Server Installation

With a multi-server installation, all Capture Server components are installed on one primary server with additional services installed on other secondary servers for load balancing.

For a multi-server Capture Server installation, you need to perform the steps above for a single server install as well as the additional procedures listed below:

1. Install the Install Agent Service on any secondary servers
2. Expand your Farm
3. Load balance your services using your Load Balancer Software instructions.
