Local catalogs can have a password policy defined much like Active Directory would. This can be changed by performing the following:
- Open the Configuration app's Catalogs
- Select a local catalog from the Current Catalog
- On the Settings tab, configure the catalog’s password policy.
For more information about the password policy settings, refer to the following table.

Set the minimum amount of uppercase letters that passwords must contain. |

Minimum Amount of Numbers |
Set the minimum amount of numbers that passwords must contain. |

Minimum Amount of Special Characters |
Set the minimum amount of special characters that passwords must contain from the following list: ~, !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *, -, +, =, `, |, \, (, ), {, }, [, ], :, ;, ", ', ,, ., <, >, ?, / |
- Click Save Settings.
