On the Connections app’s Permissions page, you can limit users’ and groups’ access to specific content types. You can do this by either selecting users and groups and granting or denying them access to content types, or by selecting content types and granting or denying users and groups access to them. By default, users and groups have no access to any content types, so they must be granted access before they can use them.

Grant Permissions to Users by User
- Go to the Capture Server Home page.
- On the Home page, click Connections.
- On the Connections page, click Permissions in the navigation panel on the left side of the page.
- On the Permissionspage, ensure People & Groups is selected for the View
- Select the user or group whose permissions you want to edit in the User / Group
- Select the destination with the content types that you want to configure for the user in the Select Destination
- In the user or group’s Content Type list, grant or deny the user or group access to the content types.
Grant Permissions to Users by Content Type
- Go to the Capture Server Home page.
- On the Homepage, click Connections.
- On the Connectionspage, click Permissions in the navigation panel on the left side of the page.
- On the Permissionspage, ensure Content Types is selected for the View
- Select the destination with the content type that you want to configure the permitted users and groups for in the Select Destination
- Select the content type that you want to configure the permitted users and groups for in the Select Content Type
- In the content type’s users list, grant or deny users access to the content type.
